'40 Years On' - a musical play
The play was written by Jill and Glyn Warwick and performed at the Gloucestershire Federation of Women's Institute's Arts Festival in Cheltenham in 1985. It was subsequently performed later that year at the WI and Harvest Supper which is when this photograph was taken. Performers, from L-R were: Mrs Beadle, Mr T. Pescod (piano), Mrs M. Davis, Mrs M. Bell, Mrs R. Whiteman and Mrs J. Warwick. -

Allen Kitchen wins RHS Banksian Medal
Photograph [taken from a newspaper cutting] of Allen S. Kitchen who was presented with the Royal Horticultural Society's Banksian Medal for gaining the most points in the horticultural classes at the annual produce show of the Mickleton Gardening Club in 1982. Allen also won the Dr. Snelson Cup, awarded for the most points in all classes.
The total number of show entries that year was 419.
