Cattle at Beggar's Barn
Geoffrey Franklin farmed at Beggar's Barn and Church Piece from 1946-1992. The cattle were all beef cattle, not dairy. One of the fields on the farm had the distinction of being the last field at this end of Gloucestershire. -
Cattle grazing in Cedar Road
This photograph was taken in c. 1959. No. 27 Cedar Road was the last house at that time with only fields next to it. The children are, back row, Linda Bennett and Christine Faulkner with, front row, Susan Faulkner and Shirley Bennett. The Faulkner family lived at 25 Cedar Road, the Bennetts at no. 27. Granbrook Road [now Lane] can be seen in the background. -

One of several placed around the village for use by responsible dog owners. This one is on the small lane [Goldby Lane] that runs between Ivy House and Stoneleigh. -

Geoff Franklin's First Prize Certificate
Awarded in the class for 5 Butcher's Tegs at Stratford Stock Sales Show Society's Christmas Primestock Show and Sale on 11th December 1984. According to his wife, Geoff was especially proud of winning this as he had entered the only five sheep left in his flock and was up against farmers who had very large flocks to select their best five animals from. -
